The song where Frango and Liza fall in love expresses the melody you hear when you first see someone you fall for.
There’s a song in the film with the funky groove that dogs have when they are running around looking for food. There is a slightly sinister edge, because looking for food is a very serious thing. It’s also happy, because they are pleased when they find something.
The song at the beginning and the end, “Mean Streets”, is inspired by the black and white mean rhythm of the streets.
